Product Care

1. For high-end incense gifts, avoid oil and water, and do not take a bath with incense products.
2. When not worn for a long time, put it back in the sealed bag to restore the fragrance of the incense brand and beads.

The origin of the Chinese herbal beads can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty. It involves more than ten steps in production. It was once a treasured item sought after by ancient Chinese royal nobles and literati.
Each HERBALLUMEN incense bead is made by the master following the ancient method, integrating the inherited formula of more than 800 years. Each bead represents the unique charm of traditional craftsmanship.

Selected incense materials

“Medicine and incense have the same origin”. Based on the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, we strictly select authentic incense materials (such as agarwood, sandalwood, etc.) and herbal medicines to ensure the pure fragrance and complementary effects.

Grinding and sieving

Grind the incense materials into powder one by one, filter out the coarse particles with a 120-mesh fine sieve, and keep the fine incense powder.

Mixing mud and hammering

According to the ancient formula, mix the incense powder with mountain spring water or pure dew into a ball, and repeatedly beat and roll it for 30 minutes to promote oil seepage, wake up the mud for 2 hours, and beat it again until the incense mud is soft like satin and warm to the touch.

Drying and shaping

Divide the incense mud into equal small pieces, mold it into beads, and place it in a cool and ventilated place to dry it naturally in the shade for 3-5 days (avoid exposure to the sun); grind from coarse to fine (600-3000 mesh) with sandpaper layer by layer, and wipe it lightly with a wool wheel, and finally it will become a jade-like product.
